World Cultures
World Cultures is an introductory course that examines the geographical, cultural, political/historical, as well as social development of major regions of the world. Various regions of the world will be discussed and examined in relationship to the cultural experience of the United States. The current status, problems and interrelationships of the world’s regions will be analyzed. This dynamic course will be presented through varied approaches including group projects, audiovisuals and independent research. Assessment of students will be through a variety of methodologies including individual work, group activities, as well as tests. Woven throughout the course will be the reinforcement and integration of appropriate study skills.
